Job Description

We are looking for someone with product and supplier management experience to lead a team responsible for managing food safety and quality compliance. Our Food Safety & Quality Compliance team is growing, and we're looking for an energetic food safety professional to join our HelloFresh team. Working collaboratively with our procurement and culinary development, the role will share best practices, create standardized ways of working, drive thinking in food safety regarding product and supplier approval, and support various strategic projects delivering on the Food Safety & Quality Assurance vision. To fuel our growth, we are looking for entrepreneurial minds, who are passionate and result-driven, have a strong team spirit, and will take on the challenge to pioneer the ever-changing food industry. As a member of our food safety team, you'll be exposed to lean, fast-paced, and engaged QA teams across the system. Within the QA community, you'll collaboratively work to mitigate risk and drive standards and operational excellence to ensure the consumer gets safe and high-quality ingredients.

Skills and preferred qualifications

• Lead a high performing team of Food Safety and Quality Assurance specialists, coordinating their workload, and interfacing with stakeholders to ensure correct prioritization of the team's work.
• Understand and guide your team in the international supplier and product onboarding process. Enable your team to work cross-functionally to conduct supplier and product onboarding, ensuring compliance with HelloFresh requirements
• Use your expertise, knowledge from the industry and the supply base to develop best practice quality specifications and support implementation with suppliers
• Co-ordinate the analysis of international customer complaint trends and work with your team and suppliers to develop plans for improvement. You will present this analysis to relevant international FSQA stakeholders.
• Leads the creation of templates and procedures to support the standardized implementation of central policy
• You will support the International Food Safety & Quality Assurance team by coordinating a team who conducts administrative tasks for various strategic projects.
• You will conduct development reviews of your team, and support their personal development through coaching and skills development.

Qualifications

• Food sciences/ nutrition or similar scientific degree
• You have knowledge of food safety systems and HACCP
• Knowledge of food labeling legislation with familiarity with EU requirements
• High level of analytical skills
• Very good MS Office knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint)
• You are a self-starter who is keen to develop your knowledge and skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent spoken and written English is required
• Available in the European time zone
