Meeting and Events Team Lead

The Meeting and Events Team Lead oversees the planning and execution of events, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the demands of each project. The Team Lead assigns responsibilities to team members, ensuring that clients' needs are met with high standards of service. This role involves collaborating with Meeting Planners, particularly those at Level 2, to ensure the smooth execution of events, conducting audits, and optimizing vendor relationships to maintain cost efficiency. The Team Lead also plays a crucial role in managing daily team activities and providing hands-on support during event operations.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Meeting Planners to deliver high-quality events.
- Assign projects and allocate resources to ensure smooth planning and execution.
- Provide on-site support during events to guarantee operational excellence.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and top-tier service.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain quality standards and identify process improvements.
- Foster teamwork and clear communication across all stages of event delivery.

Job Requirements:
- Proven experience managing and executing meetings and events, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and guide team members toward success.
- In-depth knowledge of vendor and supplier management, including negotiating favorable terms and securing competitive pricing.
- Experience conducting audits, implementing process improvements, and enhancing event operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and managing logistics with ease.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and event management software.
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
