JOB OVERVIEW

The Junior Designer position would primarily assist the Senior Architect or Senior Designer in his/ her projects which may include drafting, sourcing and requesting quotes from suppliers and contractors, timeline planning and coordination for projects, monitoring job sites and quality of workmanship of vendors.  Projects may include but not limited to renovation of new and existing retail store space and store modules, and the renovation or repair of new and existing facilities.

A secondary role would be assisting clients in creating stunning and functional interior spaces integrating company products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing and Drafting:

  • Apply design and drafting skills to produce detailed drawings aligning with project requirements and/ or client preferences. For construction projects, this would include perspectives for easier approval of projects. For projects with product design elements, this would include creation of digital 3D models of products with exact dimensions using design software/s.
  • Use design knowledge to create customized interior design proposals integrating company products.
  • Collaborate with design team, merchandising team, sales team, marketing, architects, interior designers, engineers, and other key stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Work closely with clients and/ or project head to understand and assist them with their interior design needs, preferences, and budget constraints.  This includes sourcing of materials and products compatible with both design and architectural specifications, and detailed project costing.

Project Implementation

  • Source for and request quotes from suppliers and contractors at the best possible price
  • Coordinate project construction with all parties, ensuring timely completion at minimal costs.
  • Monitor the material specifications and workmanship of construction suppliers.
  • Get feedback from end users and other teammates for better management in succeeding projects

Visual Merchandising and Furniture Display Design Execution and Maintenance

  • Work closely with other teams to develop, execute, and maintain an attractive shop design for the furniture shops and other retail outlets, distinguishing it from competitors.  This may include sale campaign display and seasonal display.
  • Develop, design, and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy for the assigned brands.  This includes, but is not limited to open furniture display, exhibit and trade show displays, store pop-up displays, kiosks, gondolas, and other merchandising display projects.
  • Conduct approval inspections after installation
  • Stay updated on industry trends, interior design innovations and architectural technologies in the local and international markets, and informed about competitor offerings and market trends for strategic development.
  • Perform other related tasks as maybe assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • Must be knowledgeable in various interior materials and finishes and their applications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, V-ray, and 3D visualization software
  • Strong background in rendering, 3D modeling, and space planning
  • Experience in project management and furniture shops interior design is a plus
  • Can do site visits (NCR, provinces, or overseas as maybe required for the assigned project)
  • Good English communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
  • Creative, detail-oriented, proactive, with strong multi-tasking skills
  • With a portfolio of previous works
