Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role plays a key part in supporting the employee life cycle and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee relations, including resolving issues, conducting investigations, and documenting outcomes
- Administer benefits programs, including health, leave, and attendance
- Maintain and update HRIS systems and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
- Ensure legal compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Organize training sessions, employee engagement activities, and performance review processes
- Fulfills all governmental regulatory mandates and ensures filings are performed as required.
- Plans and administers annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes to employees, arranging for on-site representation by providers, and processing changes within deadlines.
- Plans, conducts and reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that all dependent information is correct for each employee.
- Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
- Assist in HR reporting and analytics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism)
- Process payroll for employees; including reviewing and importing hours from the company's HRIS platform, entering tax, deductibles, and other information.
- Prepare tax credit reports.
- Maintain employee records via the company's HRIS platform.
- Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees.
- Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll, benefits, and human resources.
- Participate in internal audits, documentation, and HR projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 2–4 years of HR generalist experience
- Solid understanding of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with HRIS systems
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have great organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on or before the deadline.
- Must have great attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to edit and proofread.
- Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data.
- Must possess excellent time management, organizational, follow-through, and problem-solving skills,
- Must be proficient with the use of MS Office (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides)
- Having extensive knowledge of various computer programs including payroll, benefits, time keeping, and HRIS platforms is a plus.
Preferred / A Plus:
- HR certifications (e.g., PHRi, CHRP, SHRM-CP, PMAP)
- Experience in a multinational or fast-paced environment
- Knowledge in data privacy, disciplinary processes, or labor cases
