As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll handle the full bookkeeping cycle for complex Australian SMEs-capturing bills, coding and reconciling multi-currency transactions, managing AR/AP, lodging BAS/IAS/TPAR, maintaining the fixed-asset register, and partnering with Quality Leads and Business Performance Partners to keep every file accurate, up-to-date, and client read

Shift: Day Shift, 7am-4pm Mon-Fri

Key Workflow Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Accounts Payable: Capture bills in Dext, code (GST, tracking), match POs, prep payment runs, reconcile AP ledger.
  • Transaction Coding & Queries: Use experience to code daily bank/PSP feeds; surface anomalies and send clear, actionable questions to clients.
  • Complex Reconciliations: Multi-currency wallets, inventory/COGS bridges, payment gateways.
  • Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Issue invoices, send statements, follow up overdue balances.
  • Month-End Close: Post accruals/pre-paids, depreciation, FX revals; reconcile all balance-sheet accounts; lock period.
  • BAS/IAS + TPAR: Prepare & lodge BAS/IAS; compile TPAR data for reportable industries.
  • Fixed-Asset Register: Capitalise additions, run depreciation, reconcile to GL.
  • Third-Party Systems & Automation: Configure/troubleshoot Xero apps.
  • Client Communication: Communicate clearly and promptly with clients via the Visory platform.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 yrs AU bookkeeping
  • Advanced Xero (Advisor Cert), power-user in Dext, as well as key third-party apps such as Shopify, Deputy
  • Proven complex recs, cash-flow, multi-currency, inventory
  • Strong Excel/Sheets (pivot, index-match)
  • Clear written communication
  • Diploma of Accounting or higher
