About the Role

The
Support Engineer
will serve as the 2nd point of resolution for technical and application/system related issues, which could not be solved by Help Desk representatives. They will provide immediate trouble-shooting support as well as input to longer-term changes of the affected systems/applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues raised by external clients and business users on applications supported.
  • Coordinate with other members of the Technology Support Stack where necessary to ensure continuity of service.
  • Possess mastery in select technical areas related to applications supported and business operations to ensure adequate support when service issues arise.
  • Checks, manages and acts on an assigned ticket request to meet the established Service-Level Agreement; Conducts research and testing to resolve a pressing technical issue.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • With at least 4 years of experience in a support role or a similar role in an IT support or IT operations team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the bank's IT systems and infrastructure, including software, and network systems.
  • Understanding of the bank's IT policies, procedures, and service-level agreements.
