
Procurement Officer

Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will play a key role in supporting the operational needs of the organization by managing the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services. This includes identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining procurement records. The role demands a high level of coordination with internal departments and external vendors to support project and office requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Source and evaluate suppliers for office supplies, equipment, outsourced services, and project-related needs.

Obtain and analyze quotations to determine best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery.

Prepare and issue purchase orders and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply and service.

Coordinate closely with administrative, finance, and project teams to forecast and plan procurement needs.

Monitor inventory levels of office and project materials to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Ensure accurate and organized documentation of procurement activities including purchase orders, supplier contracts, and delivery receipts.

Regularly assess vendor performance and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.

Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and support cost control initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management—preferably in a private or professional services environment.

Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with procurement or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
