About the role

Ascendo Home Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled and organized Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team in San Juan City, Metro Manila. As a Logistics Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the efficient and effective flow of operations This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and success of our home appliance and furniture business.

What you'll be doing

  • Handle end-to-end logistics operations, including domestic transportation, importation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers to ensure timely import clearance and delivery.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, import permits, etc.).
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and storage conditions to maintain accurate records and prevent shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and government import/export requirements.
  • Manage local deliveries and distribution schedules to support operational needs.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with freight forwarders, transport companies, and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor logistics performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments and deliveries.
  • Prepare regular reports on logistics activities, costs, and performance metrics.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. (not preferred)
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in domestic logistics, importation, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of importation procedures, customs documentation, and trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with domestic distribution networks, trucking operations, and warehouse management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
