Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
  • Supervise day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure bar cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies, beverages, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain bar equipment and arrange for repairs when necessary.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
  • Recruit, hire, and train bar staff, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
  • Schedule shifts and allocate duties to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Oversee staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance appraisals.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain team morale.
  • Customer Service
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies to improve guest experience.
  • Create and maintain relationships with regular patrons, aiming to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Inventory and Cost Control
  • Monitor inventory to minimize waste, avoid shortages, and control costs.
  • Implement and maintain accurate records for all financial transactions, sales, and inventory.
  • Set and maintain pricing structures and promotional discounts.
  • Analyze sales data and track key performance indicators to optimize profit margins.
  • Menu Development
  • Work with bartenders to create a diverse and appealing drink menu, including seasonal and specialty cocktails.
  • Introduce new beverages and coordinate taste-testing events or promotions.
  • Ensure that menu offerings align with brand identity and customer preferences.
  • Financial Management
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly revenue, setting realistic sales targets.
  • Prepare financial reports and budget forecasts, managing expenses to meet financial goals.
  • Manage cash flow, including handling cash deposits, petty cash, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Event Planning and Promotion
  • Plan, organize, and promote events to attract new customers and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams or agencies to develop event themes and promotional materials.
