Job Title: Bar Supervisor – Italian Restaurant

Reports to: Restaurant Manager / General Manager

Department: Bar / Front of House

Location: The Grand Midori Makati Bolanos St. San Lorenzo

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Service & Guest Experience

  • Supervise the bar area during service, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to Italian hospitality standards.
  • Prepare and serve a range of Italian-inspired cocktails, aperitifs (e.g., Negroni, Aperol Spritz), wines, and coffees to a high standard.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues quickly and professionally, escalating when needed.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate bar staff, ensuring they are well-trained, presentable, and adhering to service standards.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new bartenders and barbacks.
  • Schedule bar staff and manage shift changes effectively.

Bar Operations & Stock Management

  • Monitor and manage stock levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
  • Place and receive bar orders in coordination with the Restaurant Manager or suppliers.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and organization in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure correct handling and storage of beverages, including temperature control for wines.

Financial & Compliance

  • Accurately handle cash and card transactions at the bar.
  • Reduce waste and control bar costs by monitoring pour sizes, stock usage, and breakage.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and licensing regulations related to alcohol service.
