About the role

Excellent Gourmet Foods Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their accounting team in our Pasay City, Metro Manila office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial accounting and reporting activities to ensure the accuracy and compliance of the company's financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliation and preparation of P&L reports
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate financial risks
  • Manage preparation and compliance with BIR, SEC and other regulatory bodies
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and ensure the company's compliance
  • Mentor and develop more junior members of the accounting team

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the fast food industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field, CPA is an advantage but not required
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, applicable tax and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in using financial reporting software and data analysis tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on accuracy
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to liaise effectively with management, external auditors, and government agencies.
