Job Description:

The Role:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the Finance team, supporting various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and other financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

● Supporting the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and validating financial results.

● Assisting with government filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

● Managing and tracking internal development costs to ensure proper accounting treatment.

● Performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

● Assisting the Accounting Manager to support purchasing and accounts payable processes.

● Assisting with financial analysis as needed to support expense tracking and reporting.

● Supporting audit and compliance activities by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with external audits.

● Supporting special projects and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

● 2+ years of experience in an accounting role

● Preferably CPA but those who are not are also welcome to apply

● Equivalent relevant experience in accounting is highly valued.

● Strong knowledge of accounting principles.

● Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

● Experience with Airbase purchasing would be considered an asset.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet and other financial tools.

● Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
