Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's financial records, handle bookkeeping tasks, and ensure compliance with government regulations, particularly BIR processes. The Accountant will also provide financial insights and guidance by teaching and explaining accounting concepts to management to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and file all required BIR reports, returns, and other compliance documents within deadlines.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reconciliation, and classification of expenses, income, assets, and liabilities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Provide accounting knowledge transfer to management by explaining financial reports, tax matters, and best practices in accounting.
  • Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation (preferably with knowledge of BIR processes).
  • Strong understanding of Philippine accounting standards, taxation laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
