Job Description

Join our global IT organization as System Lead, where you will collaborate with the Animal Health Global Innovation department for the development of new drugs, vaccines and anti-parasitic medication for our animal atients. Your primary focus will be on managing and advancing systems that support the clinical trial and document submission process.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional product team to develop and maintain solutions that drive business success.
  • Ensure the operational excellence of systems and applications, maintaining compliance with Boehringer Ingelheim and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the technical advancement of our clinical trial supply system landscape.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Planning, development, testing, implementation, technical operation, maintenance, and changes of a Computer System including all its components.
  • Coordinates system-related tasks and ensures the assignment of people to perform these tasks within the system.
  • Documents and maintain system architecture within system lifecycle.
  • Act as the bridge between business needs and IT solutions, utilizing your expertise in systems and interfaces.
  • Contribute to the development and further advancement of software concepts and projects, driving innovation and sharing technical knowledge.
  • Drive the complete software lifecycle, including documentation, patching, updates, and access controls, as well as coordinate with IT, business units, and external partners for seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Solve incidents, problems, and execute system changes.

Requirements

  • Must be bachelor's degree in IT or similar
  • Must have demonstrated understanding and experience with Infrastructure topics such as databases, servers, cloud systems, networking, interfaces and development up to containerization.
  • Proficiency in at least 3 of the following technologies/platforms:
  • OpenShift, Bitbucket, JIRA/Confluence, Jenkins, AWS, APIs.
  • We are looking for a motivated team player who is not just passionate about innovative IT solutions, but also has a global mindset. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively will be highly valued.
  • Given the global scope of this role, strong communication and presentation skills in English are a must.
  • Your proven track record of understanding of system lifecycle and documentation requirements in GxP environments (GxP) will give you an edge in this role.
  • Veeva certification in Clinical Suite is a PLUS
