Industrial IT Workplace Support Engineer

As a member of the IT INF Industrial Workplace Services (IWS) that delivers and operates industrial workplace services for manufacturing and laboratory environments, you'll support specialized endpoints (e.g., Windows‑based instrumentation PCs, Android devices) and printers, coordinate service changes, and help key users keep systems secure, compliant, and reliable.

What will you do?

  • Support industrial workplace technologies and services, handling L3 incidents and driving problem resolution to meet agreed service levels.
  • Coordinate service changes and improvements with defined user groups; plan, communicate, and achieve smooth adoption with minimal disruption.
  • Consult key users on endpoint topics (patching, security threat remediation, special device configuration) and guide them through standard procedures.
  • Operate endpoint management tooling (software distribution, configuration baselines, MDM) to maintain patch and compliance targets.
  • Monitor & report service health (incidents, changes, compliance); identify patterns and implement preventive fixes.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Strong understanding of the client device operating systems, i.e. Windows, iOS, Android
  • Strong understanding of client device management technologies, ie. scripting, software distribution, system management center, GPO configuration, Windows OS management
  • Good understanding of mobile device management technologies, i.e. Intune, SOTI, or similar tool
  • Good understanding of network setup, configuration, and trouble shooting
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies to deliver high quality support to meet customer needs
  • Fluency in oral and written English Soft Skills
  • Talented and ambitious individuals who thrive for problem solving
  • Be able to effectively work and collaborate in a globally diverse and multi team environment
  • Strong end user communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to work also outside business hours if needed - Ability to think in processes and to generate good documentation
  • University degree in computer engineering or similar education
  • 6+ years of experience in working in client services technology or digital workplace area
  • Strong hands-on experience in PC problem trouble shooting
  • Strong hands-on experience in PC automation technics
  • Shift flexibility and schedule adherence are required for this position.
