Financial Analysis Team Head

About the Role

As a
Financial Analyst (FA) Team Head for SBM Leasing, Inc.
, you are responsible for overseeing the overall direction of the Financial Analysis Team. You will be evaluating an assigned company according to the inherent risks and opportunities that the company may be able to undertake and recommending the appropriate facilities and level of business that the Company may be able to undertake with the said Entity.

How you'll contribute

• Manages the direction of Financial Analysis Team to meet the goals set by the Management and oversees the distribution and allocation of accounts among the Financial Analysts
• Reviews all financial analysis reports recommended by the Financial Analyst
• Cascades Credit Policy and its revisions/enhancements to the Financial Analyst Team, as well as all other governing policies for transactions that are processed and recommended
• Maintains credit quality through:

a. Early identification of problem accounts

b. Preparing Early Alert report with specific action plan at the first identification of problem

c. Proper classification of accounts for the right provisioning level

d. Ensuring that checking and initial evaluations are done particularly bank checking, no delay in payments, and among others

e. Ensuring timely reinstatement and Finance Lease/Term Loan review of account

f. Providing Sales Teams with industry analyses, updates, regulatory issues etc.. related to their current portfolio

• Provides support to the Relationship Managers/Sales Officers during Crecom/BoD presentations, and accompanies the Financial Analyst, Relationship Manager, and Sales Team Head on client calls especially for establishment and increase in facility
• Conducts financial evaluation and prepares re-casted financial statements as needed for a more thorough evaluation of the accounts.
• Gathers data and prepares comprehensive analyses and reports based on the submitted client documents and data for submission to the Sales Team for purposes of including the same in the CP
• Recommends credit facilities appropriate for the business requirements and the bank's risk appetite to align the facility to industry/bank standards
• Recommends the appropriate security level, loan terms, conditions, and the like
• Ensures that proposals presented to the respective approving authorities are in order in terms of completeness, accuracy, and form
• Monitors industry/market trends to determine the performance of companies to ensure data-driven recommendations based on market conditions
• Prepares and recommends process improvements to enhance financial/credit analysis turn around
• Ensures timely recognition of deterioration of risk and recommends or takes appropriate actions to re-classify accounts as needed
• Prepares/review client scorecards that will determine its risk rating, and appropriate pricing/ line amounts/ security to ensure comprehensive assessment of the account

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
• With at least 7 years of relevant experience in credit risk evaluation/appraisal and financial statement evaluation in the leasing business
• With at least 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
• Should have good analytical, critical thinking, and numerical reasoning skills
• Able to manage multiple sources of information
