Job Purpose

The position is responsible for providing financial analysis and insights on business performance that help the markets in planning and decision-making.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will primarily be involved in financial planning and analysis activities for the Philippines markets. These activities include budget preparation, periodic forecasting and financial analysis and monitoring of financial performance.

Role deliverables as follows:

  1. Support the Philippine Leadership Team on their financial and commercial goals with:

a) Historical performance analysis and financial advice through the following activities:

  • Gross Margin Analysis, Variance Analysis, NR drivers, Weekly Sales Report and related requests

  • Tracking of NPD performance, Customer/Channel P&L

b) Forecasting and Pricing support

  • Assist the Finance Head in the preparation of the annual budget, as well as monitoring the yearly and periodic sales performance

  • Assist the Finance Head in the preparation of periodic forecast of PMP P&L accounts, comparison against Budget & Forecast

  • Analysis of profitability and trends of product portfolio in order to manage the mix to deliver base and NPD targets, as well as understanding of volume trends in order to provide objective viewpoint on volume projections for S&OP and innovation builds

  • Develop Pricing Recommendation (NRM), Value Chain Analysis and assist in Business Case Financials preparation for NPDs and new initiatives

  • Works closely with Supply Chain team to lower cost and improve efficiency

  • Support of management in decision making process i.e.: costs reduction initiatives, go to market strategy, business expansion & business investments plans

  • Set up business cases to support management decision making/ analyze the financial impact

  • Costing for PH co-packed items

  • Timely and accurate monitoring of Program Work Plans (PWPs) as the PWP custodian, ensuring proper take up of Trade Spending & Marketing accounts accordingly Financial Analysis & Planning Assistant Manager

  • Working on process improvement for the processes involved under principal duties and responsibilities

  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

The candidate must have a University degree with a minimum of five (7) years of Finance experience in a major company. It is preferable that the candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

The candidate should have skills in Financial Analysis, Forecasting and Problem-Solving. The candidate must also have diligence, attention to details and the initiative to find solutions to assigned problems and challenges. It is also expected for the candidate to exercise collaboration and teamwork and promote ethical values, with good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels in management.

The candidate must also demonstrate expertise in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and general Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
