The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
HR & Payroll Specialist
to manage and process employee compensation in accordance with company policies and government regulations. This role is responsible for accurately calculating wages, bonuses, and final pay; maintaining payroll records; and ensuring timely submission of taxes and statutory reports. You'll work closely with HR to ensure legal compliance, respond to employee inquiries, conduct payroll audits, and stay updated on relevant laws. The role also involves preparing financial reports and assisting with annualization tasks such as the preparation of BIR Form 2316.
What You'll Do:
- Calculate and process employee wages, and bonuses based on company policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee payroll information such as salary changes, benefit deductions, and tax withholding.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes, social security, and other government-mandated reports.
- Respond to employee inquiries and research payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HR personnel to ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and policies.
- Develop and maintain payroll procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Process payroll for both salaried and hourly employees on a regular basis.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to manage compliance.
- Conduct audits to ensure proper payroll procedures and compliance with internal policies.
- Generate and distribute financial reports on employee compensation and benefits.
- Calculate Final Pay
- Assist in Employee Annualization (Preparation of 2316)
What We Expect From You:
- Accounting Degree
- At least 3-5 years proven experience as payroll specialist
- Have a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals
- With good knowledge of Philippine government legislation and regulations
- Trustworthy to the data confidentiality
- Outstanding organizational ability with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant payroll software
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
- Exceptional digital communication and organization skills – nearly 100% of your ongoing work will be computer-driven
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Detail-oriented with the willingness to learn
