The Compliance Assurance Specialist is primarily responsible in giving assistance to the Compliance Assurance Team Leader in the execution of regulatory compliance tests planned for the year, the reporting of its results, and the monitoring of resolutions of non-compliance issues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible in updating the Enhanced Compliance Assessment Matrix (ECAM) of the assigned group based on the recent regulatory issuances and internal policies
  • Responsible in reviewing the appropriateness and completeness of the information on the accomplished ECAM
  • Participates in the planning of compliance test, risk assessment and the preparation of the Compliance Review Checklist (CRC)
  • Ensure that CRC are complete and updated based on the recent issuances prior to the conduct of compliance test
  • Conduct store operations review and submit draft report to the Compliance Assurance Team Leader
  • Ensure proper and monthly monitoring of outstanding compliance testing findings and audit issues status
  • Responsible in requesting the necessary data and watchlist log to the corresponding department in preparation for the evaluation of Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and Negative File Checking (NFC) verification
  • Responsible in conducting the PEP evaluation and NFC verification every month
  • Perform other functions and task that may be assigned by the immediate head

Job Qualifications and Competencies Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree graduate (4-year course)
  • At least six (6) months to one (1) year experience in Banking Operations preferably in Branch Operations, Internal Audit and/or Compliance Assurance Functions
  • Familiar with banking operations and guidelines
  • Knowledge on the external regulations and risk-based methodologies
  • Knowledge on the basic concepts of the core banking system
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical thinking and comprehension skills
  • Research and documentation skills
