Quality Assurance Analyst

Marilao, Central Luzon, Philippines Nutri-Asia, Inc. Full time ₱900,000 - ₱1,200,000 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Communication

   a. Communicate matters related to food safety, such as, but not limited to regulatory requirements, preventive actions, and non-conformances to the respective immediate superior.

   b. Cascade existing and revised work instructions, support documents and forms related to Quality Assurance.

B. Accountabilities

   a. Conducts commercial and in-house laboratory tests.

   b. Attends customer complaints related to laboratory test results.

   c. Create, implement, and review laboratory policies and procedures.

   d. Ensure handling and closure of complaints complied with standard protocol.

   e. Represent the department and the company in first, second- and third-party audits.

   f. Verify Incoming materials and toll products are following approved specifications.

   g. Verify test and procedures are properly understood and carried out.

   h. Verify compliance to all test parameters, issues report to QA Supervisor. Provide recommendations if necessary.

   i. Monitor production performance based on received packaging material.

   j. Check and review availability of process control system for traceability from material preparation to work in process to finished goods.

   k. Follow all in-process policies and procedure in compliance with company specifications.

   l. Monitor production performance, issues statistical reports.

   m. Verify compliance to all testing parameters; deviations are investigated and reported to immediate superior and submit recommendations.

   n. Verify material, product, and process compliance to approved specifications and documented SOP's.

C. Authority

   a. Authorized to recommend production stoppage due to issues on non-conformances and food safety.

   b. Hold suspected noncomplying products.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education:

   a. College Graduate of Technical courses (BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Biology Major in Microbiology and Food Technology

B. Experience / Expertise:

   a. Minimum of 1-year related work experience in food industry.

C. Skills / Competencies:

   a. Above average communication and technical writing skills.

   b. Proficient in the use of basic MS Office Application.

• Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, and R&D.

MANAGING PEOPLE / LEADERSHIP:

• Understand the essential elements of an effective team.

• Coaching and counseling other analysts as needed promotes harmonious working.

• Supervise, inspect, and coordinate activities of co-workers engaged in validation of process control system of products.

• Ability to conduct briefings and orientation.

• Ability to conduct internal GMP audit.
