Basic Function

The System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving business and technology systems to support the operations of an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) and fintech environment. The role ensures that systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness & System Analysis

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform gap analysis between current systems and business needs.

System Design & Implementation

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and project managers to design system solutions.
  • Support integration of systems with core banking, payment gateways, KYC/AML tools, and third-party APIs.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT, and validation to ensure requirements are met.

Compliance & Security Alignment

  • Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements (BSP, AMLA, PCI-DSS, Data Privacy Act, and other fintech/EMI standards).
  • Document processes related to security, access control, and data governance.
  • Assist compliance and risk teams in ensuring audit readiness of systems.

Operations & Support

  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT for system-related concerns.
  • Support incident analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain system documentation including process flows, requirements, and user guides.
  • Continuously research fintech and EMI technology trends to propose innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to standardizing processes, workflows, and reporting structures.

Job Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or related IT role, preferably in fintech, EMI, or banking.
  • Strong understanding of financial transaction systems, core banking integration, and payment platforms.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and translating requirements into system specifications.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts for data validation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BSP, AMLA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, Data Privacy).
  • Strong skills in process mapping, system documentation, and functional analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field.
  • Business Analysis or Systems certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, etc.) are an advantage.
