Basic Function

The Junior Business Analyst (Jr. BA) supports the business and technology teams in gathering, documenting, and analyzing requirements for fintech and electronic money issuance (EMI) projects. This role provides assistance in creating functional specifications, testing solutions, and ensuring that business needs are translated into technology deliverables under the guidance of senior analysts and project managers.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Assist in collecting business requirements from stakeholders through meetings, interviews, and workshops.
  • Support in documenting user stories, use cases, and business requirement documents (BRDs).
  • Maintain organized records of requirements, change requests, and project documentation.

Process & Data Analysis

  • Help analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in creating process flows, workflow diagrams, and basic system interaction maps.
  • Support in preparing reports, dashboards, and data analysis to support decision-making.

Solution Support & Testing

  • Assist in ensuring business requirements are accurately communicated to development and QA teams.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases and validating results against requirements.
  • Track and report issues, bugs, and enhancements during testing phases.

Compliance & Risk Awareness

  • Learn and apply basic compliance principles relevant to fintech/EMI projects (BSP guidelines, AMLA, Data Privacy).
  • Assist in conducting initial due diligence for project-related vendors or business processes.

Stakeholder & Team Support

  • Act as a support liaison between business users and technical teams.
  • Participate in meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and project updates for stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • 0–2 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or related role (internship/academic experience acceptable).
  • Familiarity with fintech, EMI, banking, or digital payments is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and learn quickly.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Training or certification in Business Analysis, Agile, or Project Management is an advantage but not required.
