We are looking for a Fleet Manager who will oversee the full lifecycle of our company owned vehicles and ensure efficient, safe, and cost effective operations. This role is responsible for fleet strategy, maintenance planning, driver management, budget control, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Fleet Manager plays an essential role in ensuring operational reliability and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily work of fleet personnel including performance monitoring, coaching, and skill development

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Manage the annual fleet budget including maintenance, fuel, insurance, acquisition, and disposal costs

• Analyze fleet data and recommend improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and fleet modernization

• Oversee the full vehicle lifecycle from purchase to disposal

• Implement fleet safety programs and driver training to reduce accidents and liability

• Establish and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to achieve full compliance and avoid breakdowns

• Manage repairs through in house mechanics and external service providers

• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and route efficiency

• Ensure on time delivery or service performance through optimized routing and scheduling

• Maintain accurate records on fleet maintenance, fuel logs, driver data, and vehicle history

• Ensure full compliance with all transportation laws, licensing, regulations, and safety requirements

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and manage incident reporting and claims

• Lead or participate in process improvement projects related to fleet operations

• Deliver data and reports with complete accuracy and timeliness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred

• At least 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations

• Experience managing a commercial fleet is an advantage

• Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills

• Proven team leadership experience with ability to coach and develop staff

• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes

• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments

• Ability to work in both office and field environments and perform physical tasks when needed

• Knowledge of fleet compliance regulations including DOT and safety standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

• Professional driver's license is an advantage

• High level of problem solving and crisis management capability
