Medical Call Center Agent

Medical office looking for an individual who can schedule appointments and respond to patient questions. Knowledge of insurance & the ability to verify insurance and benefits a plus. Medical office experience preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Answer main office phone line. Direct telephone calls to appropriate section for assistance. Take messages as required.
· Arrange and schedule medical appointments and determine patient eligibility for services. Relay general instructions to patients, or makes referrals to other sections.
· Obtain, update, and file medical records as needed.
· Organize and research patient records, extract needed information, and review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines.
· Perform other administrative and clerical duties in support of the medical care and operational support.
