We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (Live Chat) who is proactive, sales-focused, and confident in communicating with global clients. This is a remote/offshore, full-time position requiring 12-hour shifts to handle incoming live chats from website visitors and prospects.
Role Overview
The Customer Service Representative will be the first point of contact for prospects visiting the Affordable Socials website. You will operate the live chat system, answer questions, recommend solutions, and guide prospects toward purchasing our services. Your role is customer support + sales, meaning you must be helpful, professional, and persuasive.
Key Responsibilities1. Live Chat Management
- Operate the Affordable Socials Live Chat system via our app.
- Respond to all incoming chats in real time within seconds to ensure no lead is lost.
- Manage multiple chats at once while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
2. Customer Engagement & Sales
- Greet prospects warmly, ask qualifying questions, and understand their needs.
- Explain Affordable Socials' services clearly and confidently.
- Identify customer pain points and match them with the right service/package.
- Use a consultative sales approach to encourage prospects to make a purchase.
- Guide prospects through the purchasing process or connect them to a sales manager when necessary.
3. Lead Qualification & Conversion
- Capture key information (name, email, phone, business type, etc.) from prospects.
- Record lead details in CRM and assign them to the correct follow-up pipeline.
- Ensure high conversion rates by not only answering questions but actively closing sales.
4. Customer Support
- Provide accurate information about pricing, services, and delivery timelines.
- Handle objections and questions with confidence.
- Ensure customers feel valued and supported throughout their interaction.
5. Reporting & Collaboration
- Maintain chat logs, conversion rates, and response-time reports.
- Work closely with Sales Managers to share insights from live chats.
- Attend daily huddles and provide updates on leads and sales progress.
RequirementsWork Schedule
- Must work 12-hour shifts (to be assigned, covering UK hours and global traffic).
- Must be consistent and reliable, as live chat is a front-line channel for sales.
Technical Setup
- Working computer/laptop capable of running multiple tabs/apps smoothly.
- Stable, high-speed internet connection (with backup).
- Access to WhatsApp and email for client handovers when needed.
Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years experience in customer service, live chat, or sales support (preferred).
- Strong written English – clear, professional, and persuasive.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple conversations at once.
- Sales-driven mindset – not just answering questions, but actively moving prospects toward purchase.
- Confident, empathetic, and client-focused personality.
- Fast typing speed and ability to think quickly under pressure.
Performance Expectations
- Immediate response time (under 30 seconds for new chats).
- Maintain a 90%+ satisfaction rating on live chat.
- Convert at least 15–20% of prospects into paying customers.
- Ensure CRM notes and handovers are 100% accurate.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with live chat platforms , Intercom, Crisp, etc.).
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.).
- Prior experience in digital marketing or agency sales.
- Knowledge of AI chat support tools to improve productivity.
