Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer with expertise in VBA and MS Access to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MS Access applications and VBA code that support business processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure database integrity, and deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL development, a keen eye for optimizing performance, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support integration efforts. Key Responsibilities:

VBA Programming:

  • Design, develop, and maintain VBA code to automate and enhance MS Access applications.
  • Deliver efficient, scalable solutions aligned with business requirements.

MS Access Application Development:

  • Develop and maintain MS Access databases and front-end applications.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces, forms, and reports for optimal usability.
  • Optimize performance and ensure accuracy and integrity of data.

SQL Development:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to work with ODBC drivers and ADO Data Access.
  • Ensure efficient data interaction and manipulation within MS Access databases.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to design and support robust database structures.

Requirements Analysis:

  • Work with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Translate functional needs into clear, technical specifications for development.

Code Review and Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug VBA code to enhance application performance and stability.

Documentation:

  • Maintain thorough documentation for all VBA code and MS Access applications.
  • Provide end-user documentation and conduct user training when necessary.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate MS Access solutions with existing systems.
  • Ensure technical development aligns with overall business goals and objectives.
