Our client, a privately owned Australian crew management company, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead end-to-end financial operations and ensure full compliance with local and international standards.

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for the end-to-end financial operations and compliance in the Philippines. Working closely with and reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager ensures the timely and effective operation of financial support for all aspects of crew manning, including payroll, local customer invoicing and receivables, group recharges, reconciliation of customer funding and related bank accounts, reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances, maintenance of the general ledger, cashflow forecasting, monthly management reporting, annual budget and forecasting, statutory audit, and local statutory compliance related to all financial aspects of crew operations. The Finance Manager also is the Finance Business partner to the General Manager, including supporting management reporting and growth initiatives.

Scope

·Provide direct supervision and continual improvement on the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting team and processes.

·Maintain effective financial controls at all times

·Direct all aspects of accounting operations and oversee all transactions related to the general ledger including receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.

·Review account reconciliations, journal entries and resolved discrepancies to maintain record and account accuracy, including effective reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances. Escalate irregularities to Senior Management.

·Ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial records

·Oversee local invoicing and intercompany recharging

·Manage all Corporate, and Operational bank accounts related to crew funding, including reconciliations, customer reporting, and maintenance of bank signatories in accordance with Company Group policy

·Manage annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting for profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow.

·Manage timely payment of accounts receivable and accounts payable to maintain cashflow forecast. Escalate non-payment as per agreed processes.

·Maintain all statutory compliance on time in relation to seafarer wages, annual financial audit, tax office submissions. Liaise with auditors, banker and government bodies for matters relating to audit and statutory requirement comply.

·Complete timely and accurate monthly management reporting. Discuss variances to budget and forecast with the General Manager prior to submission. Enhance format of financial reporting as agreed with stakeholders

·Review requests for additional expenditure by assessing impacts on profit and cash forecasts

·Manage payroll for Corporate employees and assist in oversight of crew payroll processes as required

·Allocate finance team resources to support growth in an efficient and effective way.

·Analyze maritime staffing and operational processes

Job Requirements

·CPA and or proven experience operating at a similar capacity in crew manning agency

·Detailed, meticulous, high standards

·High levels of integrity

·Deep understanding in BIR, SEC, and other government compliance requirements
