Role Overview:

We are seeking a mid-level Finance Operations Analyst with 4–5 years of experience in operational finance. This role is not a traditional accountant or a typical business analyst position. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in financial data processing, Excel modeling, reconciliations, and operational finance workflows, capable of handling manual, detail-heavy tasks while coordinating with internal teams and external partners. The role focuses on rebate/commission calculations, fee structures, and workflow management, with the opportunity to gradually introduce automation to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and reconcile complex financial data across multiple accounts and partners.
  • Prepare and maintain advanced Excel models, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analyses.
  • Perform rebate, commission, and fee calculations with high accuracy.
  • Track and report on financial metrics, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, finance partners, capital partners, and advisors to execute operational workflows.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data summaries.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, or VBA.
  • Handle frequently changing financial rules and maintain attention to detail in all operational tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must-Have:

  • 4–5 years of experience in finance operations, fund/investment operations, or accounting with strong Excel and data skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency: pivot tables, formulas, complex spreadsheet modeling.
  • Experience with financial reconciliations, rebate/commission calculations, and operational finance workflows.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with repetitive, detail-heavy financial processes.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to automation tools: Power Query, Power Automate, VBA, or other data manipulation tools.
  • Experience with shared services finance processes or fund/investment operations.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Excel dashboards, Power BI) and financial reporting automation.
  • Experience introducing process improvements or automation solutions.
