Job Summary:

The Accounting Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accounting and related subjects to students at the undergraduate or vocational level. This role includes curriculum development, classroom management, student assessment, and staying updated with current industry and academic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures on topics such as financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems.
  • Develop course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, quizzes, and exams aligned with institutional and professional standards.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and class participation.
  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
  • Stay current with developments in the accounting field and integrate relevant updates into coursework.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews, faculty meetings, and other academic activities.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including grades and attendance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on program improvement and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Accounting-related field (required)
  • Master's degree or units in Accountancy, Education, or related field (preferred)
  • Teaching experience in accounting or professional experience in the accounting field
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with online teaching tools (for blended or remote learning environments)

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)
  • Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom)
  • Ability to simplify complex accounting topics for students
  • Strong ethical standards and a passion for education

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php16, Php27,000.00 per month
