The Opportunity
As an International Pathway & Recruitment Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding aspiring international students and workers through their journey to studying and working abroad. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals by connecting them with life-changing educational and work opportunities and helping them navigate the complexities of international recruitment, admissions and visa processes. You will be a key liaison between students, employers and educational institutions, and various stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and successful transition for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Consultation and Guidance: Conduct comprehensive consultations with prospective international students to understand their academic goals, preferences, and financial capabilities. Provide expert advice on suitable study programs, institutions, and destination countries.
- International Recruitment and Placement: Act as a key recruiter for potential workers seeking employment abroad, including matching candidate profiles to employer requirements, conducting initial assessments and interviews, and actively managing candidates through the recruitment funnel. Successfully negotiate employment contracts with sponsoring employers and effectively articulate the benefits and opportunities associated with working for the employer and residing in the destination country.
- Application and Admissions Support: Assist students with the entire application process, including preparing necessary documents, reviewing applications for accuracy and completeness, and submitting applications to educational institutions. Liaise with admissions departments to track application status and address any queries.
- Visa Application Assistance: Guide students through the visa application process, providing accurate information on visa requirements, assisting with form completion, and ensuring all supporting documents are in order. Stay updated on immigration policies and regulations of various countries.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, educational institutions, and relevant government agencies. Act as a primary point of contact for all student inquiries and provide ongoing support throughout their journey.
- Market Research and Development: Stay informed about trends in international education, new programs, and emerging study destinations. Contribute to the development of new service offerings and marketing strategies to attract more students.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with relevant education and immigration laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and outcomes, and prepare regular reports on student recruitment activities.
Scope of Work and Activities
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess student eligibility and study goals.
- Review resumes, credentials, and academic records to determine program fit.
- Advise students on institution and course selection in Australia, Canada, and Europe.
- Assist students in creating compelling Statements of Purpose (SOP) and required documents.
- Manage new and renewal applications for student visas via immigration portals (Australia/Canada).
- Draft Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statements based on student profiles.
- Submit complete and accurate admission and visa documentation within deadlines.
- Track and monitor visa status and escalate urgent/emergency cases as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international education trends, SOPs, and visa regulations.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Provide timely and accurate updates to students about their application progress.
- Build and maintain trust with student clients through proactive communication.
- Handle client inquiries, issues, or concerns professionally and ensure proper resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with integrity.
- Retain students by delivering excellent service and identifying up-sell opportunities.
Marketing & Events
- Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing events and recruitment webinars.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials and digital campaigns.
- Create innovative ways to promote Groworx's education pathway services.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, status, and documentation.
- Ensure CRM, spreadsheets, and trackers are regularly updated.
- Ensure full compliance with policies, guidelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Sales & Lead Generation
- Identify and assess client needs through calls, virtual meetings, email, and social media.
- Actively follow up on leads, referrals, and marketing campaign prospects.
- Conduct outreach via email, SMS, and platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Develop partnerships with schools, agents, and lead sources for referrals.
- Track and analyze lead conversion performance and suggest improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in international student recruitment, admissions, or counseling.
- In-depth knowledge of international education systems, visa regulations, and common application platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the international education sector.
- Demonstrated success in guiding students through complex application and visa processes.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and educational institutions globally.
- Familiarity with CRM software and student management systems.
- Proficient in Student Management Systems (CRM) and Digital Tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, MS Office.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot, Asana, or Zendesk is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience studying abroad or living in a foreign country.
- Certification in international education counseling
- Strong network within the international education community.
