We are a Quadruple A contractor with ongoing projects across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing growth opportunities across the infrastructure, heavy industry, and light industry sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven network that has delivered a track record in building and maintaining strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities in the infrastructure, heavy industry, and light industry sectors.

  • Evaluate market needs and align them with the company's offerings and capabilities.
  • Business Development Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market share goals.

  • Identify and prioritize target clients, sectors, and regions for business expansion.
  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Bid Management:

  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, bids, and tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to present compelling solutions to potential clients.
  • Assists the estimating team during site visits, during clarification meetings with the prospect, and until a contract is eventually awarded.
  • Secures the Notice of Award, Notice to Proceed, and Construction Agreement/Contract.
  • Endorses the Construction Contract to the Operations team for project implementation.
  • Partnership Development:

  • Identify and secure partnerships and joint venture opportunities to enhance the company's competitive position.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Performance Tracking:

  • Set and achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and client acquisition.

  • Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and market conditions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum overall experience of 15 years; with at least 10 of them specific experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the construction industry.

  • Proven track record in securing and managing large-scale projects in infrastructure, heavy industry, and/or light industry sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with project bidding and tendering processes.

  • Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
