The Research and Development Specialist is responsible for product development, testing, and improving of food products from concept to commercialization. This role involves conducting recipe trials, product evaluations, coordinating cross-functional requirements and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards in alignment with the company standards, cost targets, and operational capabilities while supporting innovation and brand relevance.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and test new recipes and formulations aligned with market trends and company objectives under the supervision of the R&D Manager
  • Conduct product improvement trials to enhance taste, texture, shelf-life and cost efficiency
  • Ensure all trials follow standardized cooking procedures and quality protocols
  • Document all product formulations, test results, and improvement notes.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in product development, preferably in a restaurant or commissary setting.
  • Familiar with recipe formulation and testing and food costing and GP analysis
