
Learning and Development Officer

Position Overview
The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training and development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement. This role plays a key part in building a learning culture and ensuring that employees have access to opportunities for continuous growth aligned with the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify learning and development needs through surveys, interviews, performance reviews, and consultation with managers.
- Design, organize, and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Develop and update learning materials, modules, and digital resources.
- Partner with external trainers, vendors, and consultants when necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Maintain employee learning records, certifications, and compliance training.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote and manage e-learning platforms and blended learning solutions.
- Analyze training data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure learning initiatives align with organizational values, goals, and employee career development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or organizational development.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Experience in instructional design, training evaluation, and e-learning tools is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of LMS (Learning Management Systems) preferred.
