Position Overview

The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training and development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement. This role plays a key part in building a learning culture and ensuring that employees have access to opportunities for continuous growth aligned with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify learning and development needs through surveys, interviews, performance reviews, and consultation with managers.
  • Design, organize, and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Develop and update learning materials, modules, and digital resources.
  • Partner with external trainers, vendors, and consultants when necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain employee learning records, certifications, and compliance training.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Promote and manage e-learning platforms and blended learning solutions.
  • Analyze training data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure learning initiatives align with organizational values, goals, and employee career development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or organizational development.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience in instructional design, training evaluation, and e-learning tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of LMS (Learning Management Systems) preferred.
