ON-SITE: DevOps Engineer

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer who is also a skilled Backend MERN Developer to help build, maintain, and support the backend systems and DevOps infrastructure for multiple SaaS applications. This role combines backend development , Express, MongoDB) with cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment operations.

You will work closely with the engineering leadership and development teams to ensure all applications are deployed securely, reliably, and efficiently across development, staging, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

I. DevOps Responsibilities

CI/CD & Deployment Automation

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).

· Automate builds, tests, deployments, rollbacks, and environment promotions.

· Standardize pipeline templates across multiple applications.

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS + Contabo)

· Manage AWS environments: EC2, VPC, ALB, IAM, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager.

· Maintain Dev/UAT environments hosted on Contabo.

· Implement secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure.

Containers & Infrastructure as Code

· Work with Docker, Docker Compose, and container-based deployment patterns.

· Build and maintain Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning.

Monitoring & Reliability

· Implement logging, monitoring, dashboards, and alerts.

· Assist with performance tuning, uptime monitoring, and incident response.

· Help establish reliable backup and disaster recovery processes.

II. Backend MERN Development Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Coding

· Develop backend features using , Express, and MongoDB.

· Build secure APIs, services, and backend modules.

· Collaborate with frontend developers and integrate backend endpoints.

Database Work

· Manage MongoDB schemas, indexes, migrations, backups, and optimization.

· Work with MongoDB Atlas or self-managed replicas.

Code Quality & Testing

· Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.

· Implement unit tests and integration tests.

· Participate in code reviews and follow version control best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

DevOps

· Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins).

· Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, ALB, IAM, CloudWatch).

· Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

· Strong understanding of Git, branching, merging, and pull request workflows.

· Experience writing and maintaining Terraform or similar IaC tools.

Backend MERN

· Strong skills in and Express.

· Proficiency with MongoDB database design, queries, and optimization.

· Experience building and maintaining REST APIs.

General Requirements

· Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and teamwork abilities.

· Must be willing to work onsite in Makati.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month
