Job Summary

The Assistant Chief Engineer shall assist the Chief Engineer to ensure that all building equipment are in safe and good operating condition to prevent disruption of basic utility supplies (e.g., power, water and air-conditioning) and ensure that all tenant concerns will be attended. Shall also assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing all engineering personnel and their respective assignments.

DOES (Responsibilities)

I. Duties│Function

· Assist the Chief Engineer to develop and manage an annual facility budget including direct and indirect contract service expenses, preventative maintenance costs, energy management expenses and capital items and prepares forecast and explain for variances.

·Assist the Chief Engineer on Facilities Operations, Project Management and Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance

·Identify problem areas in the day-to-day operation and recommend improvement to maximize the efficiency of the equipment.

·Implements approved safety, and property policies for building and ground facilities.

·Compliance process on relevant Environmental, Health and Safety laws and building codes.

·Implements maintenance standards, operating metrics, quality, safety and technical audit

·Prepare, plan and monitors OpEx and CapEx Projects.

·Review maintenance agreements, utilities and other maintenance activities.

·Ensures compliance of concerned units regarding noted deficiencies during the conduct of safety, and facility audit/inspection.

·Review preventive, corrective and predictive facility maintenance programs and activities.

·Monitors Engineering Operational Budget.

·Prepares monthly, annual operational and financial reports

· Review contractor and service provider performance

· Review processes for continuing suitability

· Review submitted fit out plans

Trainings and Seminars

·Organize and conduct short technical training sessions for Engineering technicians and staff qualifications

Reports Management

·Assist the Chief Engineer in the preparation of incident reports and generation of quarterly, monthly, annual and other reports as required.

Change Management

·To understand and adjust to organizational change and transition

Adherence to Company Policy

·To maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures and ensure compliance of all team members

Other Duties

· To perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time

II. Coordinating Duties│Function:

· Coordinates/Interfaces with (Internal)

· Technical – to facilitate tenant related concerns, fit out and work related on upgrades and maintenance

· Safety – to ensure that safety is implemented based on latest standards

· Purchasing – to ensure that all stocks and materials are available to complete task assigned

· Accounting – to ensure that all billings and PR requirements and submitted

· Tenant Relations – to ensure that all tenant concerns are well attended

· Parking – assist on technical requirements may needed on auxiliary systems

· Housekeeping – ensure that good housekeeping is always observed

· I.T. – to ensure that all auxiliary systems are in good running condition

· Higher management – to always observed and cooperate with company's core values, vision and mission.

· Coordinates/Interfaces with (External)

· to be able to submit required documentation and practices needed in ensuring good building equipment operations.

DISPLAYS (Requirements and Competencies)

I. Education: Graduate of Electrical Engineering preferable with license.

II. Experience: With at least five (5) years of experience in the related field
