Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related courses.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience specializing in procurement and purchasing.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Strengthens supplier base by ensuring that each commodity. Conducts supplier accreditation for every new supplier. Creates service level agreements or memorandum of agreements for suppliers and contractors.
  • Conducts RFQ for every new item and ensures that canvassing procedures are implemented for every PO routed for approval. Conducts bidding procedures for high-value requirements/projects. Conducts price reviews for repetitive requirements once a year.
  • Checks and processes purchase requests submitted by stores/requestors and create purchase orders. Creates PO also for new store requirements. Tracks approved purchase orders and communicates with suppliers for confirmation and delivery commitments.
  • Achieves a cost saving of not less than one percent of last year's purchase price or total spend. Extends payment term by adding 15 days of existing payment term.
  • Conducts supplier evaluation. Conducts business review. Answers email inquiries.
