JOB SUMMARY:

The Purchasing Buyer supports the Purchasing/Materials Manager by managing the procurement, logistics, and inventory levels of assigned materials. This role ensures accurate system data, cost control, timely reporting, and strong collaboration across departments and suppliers to maintain efficient operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Oversee the timely and accurate procurement of all assigned products to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and minimize excess stock.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure the efficient and on-time delivery of all purchased materials.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships and effective communication between Windsor Windows and its supplier network.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and 1–2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment (totaling five years).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with another Microsoft Office applications a plus.
  • Working knowledge of
    SAP
    preferred.
  • Experience with
    Lean Manufacturing
    practices is an advantage.
  • Membership or certification with
    NAPM
    or
    APICS
    is encouraged.
