The Training Officer is responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating learning programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of Southstar Drug employees—particularly those in pharmacy operations and healthcare services. This role ensures that all training initiatives align with company objectives, regulatory standards, and the continuous professional growth of pharmacy staff.

The position bridges both healthcare expertise and learning development, making it ideal for an HR Learning and Development professional with healthcare experience, a Registered Pharmacist with training exposure, or a Professor with a background in healthcare instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement training modules for pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store personnel.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and align programs with business and regulatory requirements (DOH, FDA, PRC).
  • Facilitate classroom and virtual learning sessions on pharmacy operations, customer service, and compliance topics.
  • Partner with the HR and Pharmacy Operations teams to support employee onboarding and continuous professional education.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through post-training assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records and ensure documentation complies with company and government requirements.
  • Stay updated on current pharmacy practices, healthcare regulations, and adult learning methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Human Resources, Training, or Education is an advantage.
  • At least 4 years of experience in training, learning and development, or academic instruction.
  • Open to:
  • HR Learning & Development professionals with healthcare or pharmaceutical experience, or
  • Registered Pharmacists with solid training or facilitation background, or
  • Professors/lecturers with experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and e-learning platforms or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
