JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Training Officer to take ownership of the logistics and execution of our training events. This is a mid-level role, where you will support the Delivery Lead in managing logistics and oversee a small team of Training Associates, while also handling events independently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a firm and calm personality to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Coordination:

  • Manage the scheduling, venue coordination (both virtual and physical), and resource allocation for multiple concurrent training events.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Supervise and guide a team of Training Associates, ensuring effective coordination and smooth delivery of training programs.
  • Provide mentorship and support to associates, fostering a collaborative team culture while maintaining high performance and accountability.

Event Hosting & Facilitation:

  • Facilitate and host online training sessions via Zoom, and coordinate face-to-face training events, ensuring an engaging and seamless experience for all participants.
  • Be directly involved in the setup, coordination, and management of each event, ensuring all logistical details are handled efficiently.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including training partners, clients, and vendors.

Logistics & Execution:

  • Effectively manage multiple training events, ensuring each one runs smoothly and meets client expectations.
  • Coordinate with trainers, clients, and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of all training initiatives.

Progress Reporting & Issue Resolution:

  • Provide regular updates on training progress to the Delivery Lead, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the process.
  • Take ownership of any high-priority issues or escalations, resolving them promptly to maintain client satisfaction.

Trainer Sourcing & Onboarding:

  • Aid in identifying, engaging, and onboarding subject matter experts and trainers, ensuring a diverse and high-quality pool of external training resources.

Issue Resolution & Escalation Management:

  • Take ownership of high-severity requests or escalations, managing them efficiently and ensuring that resolutions are achieved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
  • Handle difficult situations or client concerns in a calm and professional manner, ensuring that service quality is never compromised.

Experience & Education:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, training program management, or a similar role. Previous experience in a training or consulting environment is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with virtual platforms (like Zoom, Google & MS Teams), project management tools, and common office software.
  • Degree & Background: A degree in Office Administration, Communications, Events Management, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred.
