Job SummaryLegal Associate is responsible for providing legal support and ensuring regulatory compliance across a wide range of banking operations. This role involves contract drafting and review, legal research, risk assessment, and advising on financial regulations and institutional policies. Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, credit facility agreements, and service contracts.

Ensure compliance with banking laws, financial regulations, anti-money laundering (AML), data privacy laws, and BSP requirements. Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on matters related to banking operations, customer transactions, litigation risks, and corporate governance. Collaborate with regulatory bodies and assist in responding to legal or regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.

Monitor changes in relevant legislation and advise on the legal impact of those changes. Assist in managing litigation and disputes, including coordination with external counsel when required. Support due diligence efforts and risk assessments for new banking products, partnerships, or services.

Prepare legal reports, summaries, and opinions for management and regulatory filings. Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B); Juris Doctor (JD) or Bar passer preferred.2–5 years of experience in banking, finance, or corporate law (law firm or in-house). Strong knowledge of banking regulations, financial products, and contractual law.

Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters under tight deadlines.
