Job Title: Construction Estimator (US-based Construction Experience)

Team Outsource is actively seeking a Construction Estimator for one of our valued clients in the construction and general contracting space. We are looking for a driven individual with construction estimation experience for US-based projects who can work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and is looking to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by gathering necessary project details, cost estimates, material lists, and labor requirements.

2. Review Bid Specifications: Analyze project specifications, plans, and documents to identify the scope of work and ensure all aspects of the project are covered.

3. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors, compare proposals, and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive bids.

4. Bid Submission: Submit completed bid proposals in a timely manner, adhering to all client requirements and deadlines.

5. Follow-Up: Engage in follow-up discussions with clients or general contractors after bidsubmissions to clarify any questions and improve the chances of winning contracts.

6. Competitive Analysis: Conduct analysis of competitor bids to identify trends, pricing strategies, and market conditions that can enhance our bidding process.

7. Bid Tracking: Maintain records of all submitted bids, track their status, and update the team on the progress of potential projects.

8. Schedule Coordination: Work closely with project managers to review and adjust projectschedules as needed.

9. Cost Management: Oversee job costs to ensure project profitability and adherence to financial targets

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in in accounting, finance, business, construction management, or arelated field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation and the bidding process, ideally in the multifamily or commercial renovation sector.
  • Experience in construction estimation for projects in the US (required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) and construction estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing estimates and managing financial data.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with multifamily renovation projects, including apartment upgrades.
  • Familiarity with commercial renovation services and project management practices.
  • Proven experience in developing winning bids and strategies for competitive markets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience using project management software or construction management tools.
