Job Description

As an Onboarding Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle, streamline cross-functional processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure every new hire receives a world-class introduction to the organization. You'll drive continuous improvements, lead a dedicated onboarding team, and create a seamless, engaging, and compliant employee experience.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:

  • 6-8 years in Onboarding Operations, focused on HR operations and employee lifecycle management
  • At least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role, preferably in HR or onboarding operations
  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth, or multinational organizations (BPO, tech, healthcare, or shared services)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong expertise in onboarding and employee lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with HR systems
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Data analysis and reporting skills to drive insights
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance
  • Process-driven mindset with a continuous improvement focus
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and set clear performance goals
  • Experience managing cross-functional relationships

Your Daily Tasks

Onboarding Management

  • Oversee the entire onboarding lifecycle from pre-boarding to full integration of new employees
  • Manage records of pre-employment requirements, reference/background checks, medical examinations, and document submissions
  • Review and align with the onboarding team in managing and tracking onboarding cases and inquiries using HR systems and tools
  • Develop and implement standardized onboarding processes, checklists, and documentation
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and Facilities teams to secure equipment, system access, and workplace readiness
  • Handle escalations and provide solutions

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Identify gaps in the onboarding process and implement improvements to increase efficiency
  • Utilize HR systems to streamline onboarding and reporting
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for onboarding-related tasks

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with hiring managers to align onboarding plans with departmental goals
  • Coordinate with IT, Payroll, and Facilities teams to ensure seamless onboarding processes
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires during their initial employment phase and address questions and concerns

Data Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and report onboarding metrics (e.g., time to onboard, task completion rate, etc.)
  • Use data insights to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement automation and technology solutions to optimize onboarding workflows
  • Provide leadership with regular reports and recommendations to enhance the new hire experience

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the onboarding team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Establish clear team goals and KPIs to measure operational success
  • Promote a culture of accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by the company's representatives through written or verbal instructions
