Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for net metering-related matters between the company, utility providers, and government regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end net metering application process including documentation, submission, approvals, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, sales, legal) to ensure accurate and timely application submissions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with national and local net metering guidelines.
  • Attend meetings with utility companies and government officials as needed to advocate for client applications and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of net metering applications, statuses, and correspondence.
  • Provide updates and guidance to clients regarding the status of their applications and support required documentation.
  • Support awareness efforts and provide educational assistance about net metering processes and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory liaison, utility coordination, or renewable energy sector (preferably in net metering).
  • Strong understanding of net metering policies, grid integration, and utility regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings with utility companies and government offices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with solar PV project documentation or permitting
  • Knowledge of local/state/federal energy regulations
  • Familiarity with government e-portals and net metering platforms
