Position Overview:

The Copy and Compliance Content Specialist is responsible for crafting engaging, accurate, and regulation-compliant content for product labels, descriptions, marketing materials, and documentation within the R&D department. This role bridges creativity and compliance, ensuring that all messaging reflects both brand identity and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, creative, and compliant copy for product packaging, ingredient lists, marketing materials, and internal documents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all messaging supports product claims and maintains brand consistency
  • Conduct comprehensive research on ingredients, beauty and skincare trends, and relevant regulatory and compliance standards
  • Revise and refine content based on feedback from supervisors and key stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across all written materials and platforms
  • Proofread and edit copy to guarantee accuracy, clarity, and adherence to compliance guidelines
  • Manage and maintain organized copy-related files and records within content management systems
  • Assist in creating persuasive copy for presentations, product launches, and marketing pitches
  • Stay updated on FDA guidelines, industry trends, and evolving best practices in content creation and compliance
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to strengthen writing and regulatory knowledge

Qualifications:

  • At least four years of professional experience in copywriting, with a strong portfolio of published or produced work
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research abilities
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in proofreading and familiarity with standard editorial style guides
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an appreciation for thoughtful, visually cohesive design
  • A genuine interest in beauty, skincare, or cosmetics is highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time
