The Civil Quantity Surveyor oversees the financial and contractual management of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure. The role ensures that projects are completed within budget and in compliance with legal and quality standards.

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for civil projects.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and provide timely cost reports and forecasts.
  • Measure and value construction work on-site, including progress payments and variations.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Assist in procurement processes, including tender analysis and contract awarding.
  • Manage change orders and assess the financial impact of project changes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare final accounts and reports at project closeout.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
