About the role

Megawide Construction Corporation, a leading construction company in the Philippines, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Head Office team. This full-time position will be based in Quezon City, Metro Manila and will play a crucial role in our procurement and supply chain operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for various construction projects
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions
  • Ensure timely delivery of procured items to project sites
  • Maintain and update the procurement database and relevant documentation
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand their requirements and facilitate efficient procurement processes
  • Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to expand the company's vendor network
  • Monitor and analyse procurement trends, costs, and performance to optimise processes and drive cost savings
  • Provide guidance and support to junior procurement personnel

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
