JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) Data Entry Specialist to support our team by ensuring the accurate and timely input of financial transactions related to customer invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, high data accuracy, and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter payable and receivable transactions including customer invoices, payments, and adjustments into accounting software.
  • Reconcile daily payment entries and ensure proper application to customer accounts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and sensitive customer information.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in an accounting or finance department.
  • Familiarity with AP/AR processes.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Xero) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PDFs and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in data entry, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Experience in financial reconciliation is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

Contract Details:

  • Expected working hours: 9am – 5pm EST
  • Compensation: Hourly, based on actual time spent processing tasks
  • Rate: Depending on experience
  • Equipment: Will be provided by company
