We are a German-Filipino company with business engagements in industrial and renewable energy business. Our Company is located in a world –class industrial subdivision south of Manila with more than 100 employees and has been in the business for more than 25 years.

Safety Officer

Construction Safety Officer (CSO) encompasses a wide of duties and responsibilities. Their primary goal is to ensure a safe and health-conscious working environment on construction sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and industry standards.

· Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards on-site and implement control measures.

· Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines.

· Ensure that all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to health and safety.

· Organize and conduct safety training sessions for all workers and personnel.

· Prepare and distribute safety-related information and materials to employees.

· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes and preventive measures.

· Maintain records of accidents and incidents for reporting and analysis.

· Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the construction site to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety practices.

· Prepare detailed reports on safety audits and inspections, and follow up on corrective actions.

· Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

· Conduct emergency drills to ensure preparedness in the event of an accident or incident.

· Ensure that all safety equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and first-aid supplies are available, maintained, and in good working condition.

· Verify that workers are using PPE and following proper safety protocols.

· Serve as a liaison between workers, management, and regulatory agencies regarding safety issues.

· Report on safety performance and metrics to management and provide recommendations for improvement.

· Foster a work environment that prioritizes safety and encourages workers to actively participate in safety initiatives.

· Recognize and reward positive safety behavior among workers.

· Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement in safety practices.

· Stay updated on the latest safety regulations, practices, and training techniques.

· Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, audits, accidents, incidents, and other safety-related documentation.

· Ensure all documentation complies with legal requirements and organizational policies.

JOB QUALIFICATION

· Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a field is often preferred.

· Relevant Certifications Industry-recognized certifications can enhance a candidate's qualifications. Examples include:

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)

- Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour or 40-Hour)

- National Safety Council (NSC) certifications

• Construction Occupational Safety & Health Certifications

· At least 2-3 years of experience in a construction environment or safety management is often necessary.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey safety policies and procedures to

diverse group.

Ability to analyze safety performance data and incidents to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Pay: From Php23,000.00 per month - Php25,000
