The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate sales forecasts and demand plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient supply chain operations. The role involves close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Procurement to align forecasts with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to incorporate promotional plans and new product launches into forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Production teams to ensure sufficient inventory while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Prepare regular demand planning reports and communicate insights to management.
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to align demand and supply.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting and inventory management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain.
  • Proficient in Excel and forecasting tools; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
