I. Job Summary

The Occupational Health Professional / Company Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and wellness of employees in the workplace. This includes providing immediate medical care, managing occupational health programs, conducting health assessments, facilitating health education, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role plays a key part in reducing health-related absenteeism and improving workplace productivity.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid treatment and medical assistance for work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct regular health assessments and monitor employees' health conditions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of all employees
  • Develop and implement occupational health and wellness programs
  • Promote preventive health care practices and conduct health education sessions
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of workplace health and safety policies
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and manage health-related benefits and claims
  • Monitor and report any workplace hazards or risks that may affect employee health
  • Participate in safety audits and compliance assessments as needed
  • Liaise with government agencies regarding occupational health compliance and reporting
  • Assist in pandemic response or emergency health situations (e.g., contact tracing, isolation protocols)

III. Skills and Abilities

  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN); Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) certification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards and labor regulations
  • Strong clinical and first aid skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining medical records
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including in remote sites or industrial settings when necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
